Puppy Sweepstakes Classes are for young dogs (6-21 months). They are judged against the same breed standard as used in regular conformation classes. Dogs and bitches placing in their classes are awarded a percentage of the entry fees and a rosette. Best Junior Puppy (from the 6-9 or the 9-12 month classes), Best Senior Puppy (from the 12-15, 15-18, 18-21 month classes) and the overall or Grand Sweepstakes Winner also receive trophies.
* All dogs within these age groups that meet AKC requirements for conformation may show in sweepstakes.
* Veterans may be altered.
* Any dog who has attained it’s Championship IS ALLOWED to compete within it’s age group.
